Executive Director of the SC Automotive Council
Amy Tinsley is the Executive Director of the SC Automotive Council. In this role she connects South Carolina’s automotive industry and facilitates dialogue on industry relevant topics including trade, policy, supply chain, quality, workforce and economic development. She promotes the continued growth and strengthening of the automotive industry by partnering with state and local organizations in workforce and economic development efforts.
Prior to joining the SC Automotive Council, she spent almost a decade in the utility industry working with the South Carolina executive team of one of the nation’s largest utilities leading strategy and planning related to: state government affairs, community relations, regulatory issues, economic development, and finance.
She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Presbyterian College. She also received a Masters of Public Administration and a Masters of Business Administration from the University of South Carolina.
She is a member of the Presbyterian College Alumni Board and the International Transportation Innovation Center (ITIC) Board. She is a 2020 graduate of Leadership South Carolina. She is also a member of the inaugural Upstate class of the Greenville Business Journal’s Forty Under 40.
She lives in Camden, SC with her husband, son, and daughter.
